Postwar Repatriation from Manchukuo and Reintegration of Repatriants

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse the repatriation of Japanese after the Pacific war and their reintegration into Japan's society. First part of the thesis is focused on the migration of Japanese during times of the Japanese empire (1868-1945) and the process of the repatriation of Japanese. Second part focuses on reintegration of repatriated Japanese, mainly on those social groups of repatriates, that faced great difficulties in their reintegration. Third part of the thesis focuses on the specific category of repatriates, called "abandoned Japanese, that for various reasons could return to Japan not immediately after Japan's unconditional surrender, but until twenty eighties.
