De kleurensymboliek in Turks fruit van Jan Wolkers

This bachelor thesis focuses on the color symbolism in the book Turks fruit which was written by Jan Wolkers. Jan Wolkers was an artist and in this thesis is a possible connection between his two careers being explored in direction of the use of colors in association with the two main characters of the novel. De love relationship is written from the perspective of Erik who is also an artist like Wolkers was. In the thesis is mainly the use of color in connection with his second wife Olga being explored. The answers are through assessment determined. The thesis offers interesting conclusions which are based on some color theories and they answer the question whether there is a pattern to follow in the relation between the two main characters.
