Measurements of small flow in water service connections

In the first part of this thesis the basic information about the losses of water and their reporting are described. There are presented the means and methods of reducing water losses and their suitability for use. Finally, general information about water meters are presented and the UFR device is briefly described. The second part of the thesis is devoted to testing water meter and UFR device on specific water connection in a family house. The thesis resulted in the author's general recommendations for owners and operators of water supply networks.

"Despite All the Poet Kept Singing..." A Contribution to a Study Dealing with the State Security Police Forces᾽ Approach to Our Folk Scene, as Seen on the Example of Karel Kryl

This bachelor thesis focuses on the State security police forces᾽ approach to Czech folk scene. The first part consists of Karel Kryl᾽s biography, great emphasis is placed also on his literary work. The second part discusses the folk scene in Czechoslovakia from 60s to 80s, including the State security police forces᾽ approach. Specifically not only Karel Kryl but also Jiří Pallas, Jaroslav Hutka, Vlastimil Třešňák and Vladimír Merta are presented based on the materials kept in the Security Services Archive. The thesis shows that the State security police forces᾽ approach was not unified, even though some common things can be found. In case of Karel Kryl living in exile the technique was reduced to intervention against his work. In case of the folk singers living at home State security police tried to reduce or completely terminate their public actions, most often doing so by controlling and cancelling their concerts. The main conclusion of the thesis is that they were not very successful at this effort, because most of their energy was devoted to persecuting the signatories of Charter 77. Strong actions were taken against the folk singers, who signed it as well. The contribution of this thesis is based on working with archival materials that practically have not yet been used in the specialized literature.

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the whole concept of bancassurance and the position of the Czech Republic in the area of bancassurance in the European Union. The first part describes an overwiew of theoretical information on bancassurance, the motives of entry into bancassurance and forms of cooperation.The next part deals with the regulation and supervision in the Czech Republic and the European Union. Furthermore based on cluster analysis the thesis evaluates the position of the Czech Republic in the area of bancassurance and compares it with other countries in the European Union. In conclusion the diploma thesis offers recommendations for banks and insurance companies to increase bancassurance in the Czech Republic.

The Street Name Terminology in the Town of Písek

The master's thesis examines street names, names of the public areas and also names of particular buildings in the city of Pisek. Firstly, the developments of the street names as well as their changes since the beginning of the twentieth century are described. Toponymy of names found both in historical centre as well as other city districts is analysed in the main part of the thesis. Urbanonyms are semantically classified with a special attention to honorific theme. The linguistic classification analyzing word-forming structure is also attached. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to the known toponymy of the city of Pisek.
