1 ABSTRACT The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of research-oriented teaching, mainly within the framework of teaching chemistry for elementary school students. In the first half of the theoretical part, I therefore focus on the definition of BOV levels, the process of including it in teaching and the definition of the term IBSE (inquiry-based science education). The second half is devoted to the description of chemical procedures and a search for published BOV topics on the separation of mixtures. The main goal of the subsequent practical part was to design and verify the newly created BOV tasks. Overall, three experiments are described specifically on the topic of filtration, which fulfill the essence of structured research and are designed for students who are just getting to know chemistry and its essence. An important idea for the tasks was to create them in such a way that the students could try them out at home and thus further deepen their research skills. The effectiveness and functionality of the experiments themselves was supported by my own implementation and qualitative analysis, which was based on information obtained from questionnaires that I sent to chemistry teachers from elementary schools.
