Analysis of motility in leukemia cells using incoherent holographic quantitative phase imaging
Smrčková, Zuzana ; Škarková, Aneta (referee) ; Zicha, Daniel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of motility analysis in leukemia cells. An accurate description of the cell movement and the detection of differences in motility under experimental conditions can be obtained by quantitative analysis of cell motility using time-lapse recording. The first part of this work describes various types of tumor cell migraton. The second part focuses on methods of analysis of cell motility in tissue culture using time-lapse recording, which include image acquisition and processing. Part of this chapter describes a coherence-controlled holographic microscope, which was used in the practical part and for which an insert was designed to ensure the exact and stable position of the individual chambers. The last part is focused on the research of leukemic cell motility, which is concluded by a discussion of the obtained results. The appendix contains a published study included acknowledgement to the author of this diploma thesis for participation in the project.

The buildings of these schools have certain common facilities, such as a library, cloakroom, dining room, hall, utility room. The proposal builds on the competition program at the Academic square in Brno. Parking is solved as an underground garage. Outside parking spaces for both faculties be reckoned with parking spaces for the City, and to be a substitute for the parking areas located on the currently designed plot. The proposed solution allows to stage construction, where the first stage will be built Faculty of Forensic Engineering, common areas, all the parking spaces and the second stage will be built Faculty of Fine Arts.
Selected aspects of the legal relationship between a doctor, parents and a minor patient - criminal aspects
Smrčková, Zuzana ; Sovová, Olga (advisor) ; Císařová, Dagmar (referee)
The selected aspects of the legal relationship of doctor, parents and minor patient - the criminal aspects. (Abstract) This paper discusses various legal aspects of the relationship, which may arise between a minor patient, his parents and his doctor (or other appropriate health professional). The most important general rule holds good also in the Czech healthcare law. The general rule says that any interference with bodily integrity, and therefore each therapeutic medical intervention, can take place only with the consent of the patient. To be eligible to make such an agreement is a crucial legal capacity according to the arrangements of the Czech Civil Code. If someone is not eligible in this way about himself decide to grant consent to an intervention, it must be done by his legal guardian. In the case of minors it is usually intended by both parents. The most important regulation of the legal issues that arise in the care of the patient is found in Act No. 20/1966 Coll. Health Care. However from the perspective of the Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine this regulation appears to be somewhat outdated and patients and physicians (as well as other medical staff) find the law like overly complex, unintelligible and therefore unsuitable for their use. Unfortunately this law should help and serve...

The Effect of Alcohol Ingestion on Maximal Treadmill Performance
Smrčková, Zuzana ; Strejcová, Barbora (advisor) ; Česák, Petr (referee)
Title: The Effect of Alcohol Ingestion on Maximal Treadmill Performance Objectives: The aim of this study was to assessed the effect of alcohol consumption before sport performance on the maximal running test and values of respiratory parameters. Methods: This study attended 7 girls age 21,3 ± 1,0 years which are active in sports. They had been running at the treadmill first time after intake of juice with alcohol in relation with their fat free mass and secondly only after intake of juice. This is called Switch replication design. Independent variable was ingestion of alcohol and dependent variables were maximal relative oxygen consumption, heart rate, minute ventilation and respiratory exchange ratio. Alcoholic history of each participant was detected. For this study were used treadmill ergometer Quasar (Cosmos, Germany), the metabolic analyser Metalyzer (Cortex, Germany) and the sporttester Polar. Results: Paired t-test was used for evaluation of the results. The measured values were not statistically significant with the level of significance 0,05. The measured values were individually evaluated in the same time and increase of minute ventilation was confirmed at 5 tested girls otherwise the effect of alcohol on maximal relative oxygen consumption and heart rate was not proved. The alcohol did...
