The next part of the thesis contains suggestions on the use of The Botanical Garden in Rakovník in teaching. Botanical gardens and arboretums are very important and interesting places. Their basic function is educational and aesthetic. It is very important that teachers perceive the need to teach biology partly in nature and not only in the classroom. Key words: botanical garden, arboretum, relationship to the environment, educational process
