Return to life after colorectal carcinoma operation

Introduction to the topic and importance of the topic: The thesis named "Return to life after colorectal carcinoma operation" deals with research into the return of patients to the social, family and work environment approximately 3 mounths after the end of hospitalization. This is varied group of clients of a different age from hospitalization of the Kadaň Hospital s.r.o., gastroenterological counseling of Kadaň Hospital s.r.o. Research objectives and questions: The objective of the research is to investigate if the informants three months after the operation of colorectal cancer are satisfied with their return to normal life, and potentially discovering an area, in which the return to everyday life causes any complications. Methodology (method, research sample): The research was conducted by using a qualitative research strategy, a questionnaire, and in-depth interviews. The research sample consisted of 20 informants who had their colorectal cancer operation three months prior. The data was processed via grounded theory. Results: The quality of life of patients with a stoma is highly individual, besides age, social support, or psychological state, it also reflects their financial situation and being able to finance the diet.
