The design of a quadrocopter for food delivery
Gryc, Matěj ; Čípek, Pavel (referee) ; Skurka, Šimon (advisor)
Online delivery of hot food to the customer's home has become standard. However, as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, methods of safe delivery that do not require interpersonal contact are now being sought. The use of drones, which are already being used in some countries to transport goods and materials, seems promising. This bachelor thesis deals with the design and assembly of a quadcopter designed for food delivery. First, the frame was designed, which was largely fabricated using 3D printing. Based on calculations, the electronics including batteries and motors were selected. Then the mechanism by which the food transport will be mediated was designed. Once constructed, the functionality of the quadcopter and delivery mechanism was tested. Finally, the design was evaluated and possible improvements were mentioned.
Top of rail lubricant development
Skurka, Šimon ; Polach, Pavel (referee) ; Kvarda, Daniel (advisor)
Friction modification within the wheel-rail interface is an important way of achieving ecologically friendly transportation of both persons and goods. This thesis aims to develop a new TOR lubricant, which will be able to maintain suitable frictional conditions while securing minimal adhesion required for traction. All measurements were carried out on tribometer MTM in the ball-on-disc configuration. In the first step, individual components were examined. More complex compositions were measured after that and the three best of them were compared with commercial TOR lubricants. The results show a good ability of developed compositions to maintain required adhesion, reduce wear, and all of them had resistivity against over-lubrication. Lastly, the process of lubricant verification before its application in real traffic was discussed.
Design of modular elements for acoustic measurements
Fábry, Adam ; Skurka, Šimon (referee) ; Klapka, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design modular elements that will allow a simple and fast definition of acoustic measurement points in space. To solve this problem, a structure with four struts was used, between which the twine was stretched. With the help of clamping and defining elements we can define the points of acoustic measurement at the intersection of vertically and horizontally stretch twine. The construction of modular elements allows high mobility of the structure, facilitates its transmission and storage, and allows the measurement of noise sources of different sizes. Thanks to this design, we can quickly and accurately determine acoustic measurement points.
Spatial 3D printing methods
Skurka, Šimon ; Vespalec, Arnošt (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with methods of spatial 3D printing, which can solve many problems of manufacturing by fused deposition modelling. The aim of this thesis is to describe their strengths and weaknesses, requirements for hardware, software and their benefits to the world of 3D printing. Methods are introduced in the first part of the thesis, while the final evaluation is placed further.

Twin-disc machine for the study of wheel-rail wear and rolling contact fatigue
Šperlich, Vilém ; Skurka, Šimon (referee) ; Galas, Radovan (advisor)
Presented thesis describes the design of an experimental device used for the study of wear and contact fatigue of wheel-rail contact. The text describes selected devices already used for the study of wheel-rail contact. The main part of the text focuses on choosing a suitable conceptual variant and the design of the resulting twin-disc machine with linear contact. The final design enables easy mounting of the specimens and their precise positioning. The final part of the text contains calculation of estimated price of this device.
