The efficiency of the use of assistive devices fot the visually impaired

Rigorous work deals with the effectiveness of the use of compensatory aids for the visually impaired. The introductory chapters address the issue of visual impairment, the mapping of the condition in the area of rehabilitation and compensatory aids for the visually impaired, the legislative conditions to obtain them and the possibilities to support citizens with visual impairment in adulthood. The research investigation was, on the basis of interviews, analysis of documents and case methods identified the effectiveness of the use of the various types and types of rehabilitation and compensatory aids, their important role and irreplaceable position in the life of people with visual disabilities, including data on the most frequented, preferred aids, managing the operation of aids using state financial subsidies for their acguisition and use of Braille by visually impaired people in the context of the rapid také-up of digital technology in the area of information and communication in the 1990s with eventual influence of their written speach. The result of the research has shown that rehabilitation and compensatory aids for the visually impaired play an important role in the life of people with visual impairment and an irreplaceable site.
