Synthesis and Characterization of Arylspiroborates
Sedláčková, Simona ; Jelínek, Ivan (advisor) ; Sobotníková, Jana (referee)
Arylspiroborates have some very interesting properties, which include biological activities and the potential anti-tumor activities. The aim of the thesis was to prepare some complexes using mainly phenolic ligands (catchol, pyrogallol, 3-methoxycatechol, 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene and 4tertButylcatechol) and their detailed characterization using ESI-QqTOF. With some of these prepared complexes collision experiments were performed and based on the results, the fragmentation mechanisms for these substances were proposed.
Non-contractual legal institutions of the use of copyrighted work
Sedláčková, Simona ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Žikovská, Petra (referee)
The topic of my thesis is the analysis of non-contractual legal institutions of the use of copyrighted work, that means the means how to use a copyrighted work without the need to conclude an agreement with it's author. The wording of the thesis itself is divided into four chapters. After the brief introduction of the topic, I explain the basic relevant terms in the field of copyright and subsequently, I address the sources of copyright law on the national level, on the level of EU and finally, on the international level, with the analysis of the main sources. Before the attention is paid to the core of this thesis, I explain the concepts of copyrighted work and author. The fundamental part of my thesis contains the analysis of non-contractual legal institutions of the use of copyrighted work, whereas I address the very concept of these institutions and furthermore, I concentrate on free works, exceptions and limitations of copyright. In the follow-up part of the thesis, I adress the analysis of the particular free-of- charge, as well as chargeable statutory licences. The entire thesis emphasizes also the link with the EU law, accordingly, I mention several significant decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union, whereas, some of them are examined in greater detail (e.g. the judgment in...
Complexes of polydentate ligands
Sedláčková, Simona ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Kotek, Jan (referee)
Polydentate ligands are useful in many industries, mainly because of their ability to form complexes. The aim of this thesis is to study acid-base and coordination properties of polydentate ligands from the group of polyaminopolyphosphonates DTPMP and HMDTMP. The protonation constants of ligands as well as stability constants of complexes with biologically relevant ions Cu2+ , Zn2+ , Ni2+ , Mg2+ , Ca2+ , Co2+ , K+ and Na+ were determined by potentiometric titration. 31 P-NMR titration was used to determine pKa on nitrogen atoms, which could not be measured by potenciometric titration. Seven pKa for HMDTMP ligand and nine for DTPMP were obtained. The stability constants show that the HMDTMP ligand forms less stable complexes than the DTPMP ligand.
