The fate of Czechoslovak paratroopers after the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich

The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The practical part is a document called Czechs Don't Give Up: The Fate of the Bodies of Czechoslovak Paratroopers. As the title suggests, the documentary film focuses on the fate of the bodies of Josef Gabčík, Jan Kubiš, Josef Valčík, Adolf Opálka, Josef Bublík, Jan Hrubý, and Jaroslav Švarc. In the first part, there is the atmosphere in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia from the accession to the office of the provisional Reich Protector Reinhard Heydrich to the fight of the paratroopers in the Church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius. This part is presented through newsreels, photographs, and testimonies of historians, researchers, and relatives of Czechoslovak resistance fighters. In the second part, the documentary introduces events after the battle and covers the documented facts describing the fate of the bodies of the Czechoslovak paratroopers. Since their destiny is not notorious even after eighty years, this part also delivers new facts for investigation. The theoretical part serves as a starting point for the audiovisual material.
