Rossmannová, Kateřina ; Hořák, Jaromír (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
CRIME OF MURDER AND CRIME OF MANSLAUGHTER ACCORDING TO § 140 TZ, § 141 TZ The topic of my thesis is the crime of murder (§ 140) and the crime of manslaughter (§ 141 of the Criminal Code). These are the most serious crimes directed against human life. As the topic of human life is very important for my work, the first chapter is focused on the description of the legal regulation of the protection of human life in the terms of Czech and international regulation as well as on definition of the beginning and the end of human life. In this chapter I have also included the infanticide. In the next chapter I dealt with the constituent elements of the crime of murder and manslaughter. Separately, I spoke about the object, the physical element, the subject and the mental element of these crimes. In the section discussing the object I focused on the subject of attack and on the victim, too. Under the discussion about the subject I tried to define the subject of the crime of murder. The fourth chapter is devoted to the classification of crimes of murder and manslaughter under the valid Criminal Code and to comparison of new and old conception of these crimes arising from the new and the old Criminal Codes valid in the Czech republic. The following chapter is focused on the crime of murder. In this chapter I...

Furthermore, it is focused on characteristics of the youth such as its mental and physical aspect and on mapping of socialization and values of the contemporary young. The practical part applies to clarification of survey outcome which was executed via submitting questionnaires to a certain sample of contemporary young people. Aim of the investigation was to determine which values are reported by respondents in the age of about 15 to 18 years and university full-time students with putting emphasis on changes in their evaluation of importance of the key values within different life stages.
Motivation for "body art" in university students
ROSSMANNOVÁ, Kateřina
The objective of the thesis was to identify the motivation of university students for different types of body art. The theoretical part dealt with the issue of motivation and the motivation to decorate the body. It also focused on the types of body art and, as two main types, tattoos and piercing were chosen. At the end of the current situation there is a definition of university students. The target group consisted of university students who have at least one tattoo, piercing or other kind of body art. The respondents were recruited at two universities (The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia and the Faculty of Law of Charles University) and other students recruited with a Facebook application ?snowball? used to distribute a questionnaire. The total of 152 filled-in questionnaires was returned. The questionnaire had 15 questions, of which 11 closed ones and 4 open ones. Four research hypotheses were set for the thesis. Hypothesis 1 was: Internal factors dominate the motivation for decorating the body in university students. This hypothesis was confirmed as 27.7% of the respondents stated that their motivation is related to the expression of personality. Hypothesis 2 was: Motivation to decorate the body differs by gender. This hypothesis was not confirmed. Internal factors ? the expression of personality ? prevail in both sexes. Another hypothesis that was confirmed was Hypothesis 3: Health reasons would prevail as a potential incentive to remove body art. 43.7% of the respondents stated that this reason is the very reason for the hypothetical removal of body art. Hypothesis 4 was: Fashion trends do not prevail in the motivation for body art in university student. This hypothesis was also confirmed. The response that body art is IN was chosen by 10.3% of the respondents, and the reason that everybody has some body art was chosen by only 3.1% of the respondents. Only a tiny percentage (0.4%) responded they wanted to fit. The thesis can serve as a basis for further study of the motivation for decorating the body, or as a source of information not only for the academic community that deals with the issue of motivation.
