Rejdák, Jaroslav ; REJLEK, Vladimír (advisor) ; MALIMÁNEK, Karel (referee)
This thesis deals with the history of the wind orchestra Koletova Hornická Hudba from Rtyně v Podkrkonoší, with the brass music festival Koletova Rtyně, and with the major figures connected with the orchestra. The orchestra has a rich history and in 2014 it is going to celebrate its 150-year-long existence. Since its foundation the orchestra has never stopped its activities and has come through all setbacks. The festival Koletova Rtyně is one of the oldest festivals of the big wind orchestras in the Czech Republic. Its origin dates back to the cooperative concert of the orchestras from Rtyně and Kolín in1960. The 50th year of the Festival is going to be held in 2014. Eminent personages who mainly influenced Koletova hornická hudba are above all Koletas brothers - the orchestra was named after them, and Zdeněk Tlučhoř who is running the orchestra nowadays.

Rejdák, Jaroslav ; Rejlek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Rouček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Šedivý, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis deals with musical instruments used during hunting from prehistory up to the present. Hunting musical instruments have accompanied the humankind since time immemorial and have changed a lot. From bony flutes and animal horns to olifants, and up to brasswind instruments which developed into contemporary instruments. In this thesis, I deal with the first mentions of hunting instruments in the literature which is devoted to hunting. Gradually, the hunting musical instruments started to be made from metal and many kinds of hunting-horns arose. I also deal with so-called Hiefhorns which are not so known and were especially used for working with dogs. In the final chapter of my thesis I deal with presently used instruments as well as with oddness of musical instruments used during hunting.
