Family Names, inherited Names and Nicknames in the village of Dobřenice

This thesis focuses on onomastics of the village Dobřenice. The object of the analysis of are surnames, names after residence and nicknames in the village. I gained surnames from the list of inhabitants, names after residence and nicknames are ascertained by explorational methods like interviews. The analysis and classification of antroponomastics material are based on study of professional literature and traditional classification procedures. The goal of this thesis is an analysis of official and non-official names and to contribute to onomastics of the village Dobřenice.

EVALUATION OF POSTERIOR CAPSULE OPACIFICATION AMONG VARIOUS TYPES OF INTRAOCULAR LENS

Purpose: To evaluate posterior capsule opacification (PCO) in patients 7 years after cataract operation with the implantation of three types of intraocular lenses (IOL): rigid polymethylmetacrylate IOL (PMMA) with a round optical edge, foldable hydrophobic acrylate IOL with a sharp edged optic and foldable IOL whose optical part is made from silicone with round edges. For the quantification, two computerized methods were used and the correlation of the two systems was evaluated. Data from both methods were used to compare PCO incidence for the followed IOL and ascertain if some type of IOL showed better qualifications in the prevention of posterior capsule opacification. Patients and methods: We evaluated 73 patients that had undergone cataract operation using the classic ultrasound phacoemulsification method in the time period of 1998-2000 at the Ophthalmology Department of the Hradec Kralove Faculty Hospital. Seven years after the operation, a standard ophthalmologic examination was performed including best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and a digital photograph of the anterior segment of the eye in mydriasis, focusing on the posterior capsule. Veleslavín´s Publishing Program and its (Non)realization in the Veleslavín´s Printing Office

The thesis will look into the publishing program of Daniel Adam of Veleslavín as formulated in introductions and dedications of his printings. Then we will compare it with the realization in his publishing activity (to the list of production of veleslavin printer in Bohatcová 2005). The target of this thesis will also be a critical inspection of the interpretation of Daniel Adam of Veleslavin as the main representative of popularised phase of the national humanism (see Kopecký 1962).
