Title Development of swimming and water sports in history of olympic games Dissertation goal The target of this work is to create a summary of development of swimming sports in the history of olympic games. To reach our goal we listed changes in particular swimming and water sport events where the places and dates are shortly characterized in connection with famous sportsman and women. Methods used in the project To accomplish our goal we used historical method. The principle of which rests in comperative analyses of information or eventually uses general conclusions which were reached by historical science with the aim of getting the roundup of followed subjekt. Results The conclusion of this work is above all historical list of swimming sports from 1896 to 2008 completed with final calculations , listing of successful sportsman and description of the time and place of those events.
