This Bachelor´s thesis is focused on the financial evaluation of the company ZV-Nástroje Inc., in the period 2009 – 2012, using methods of the financial analysis, based on data from financial statements of the company during the reporting period. Based on the given analysis, the improvements of the company’s current situation in future years will be proposed in cooperation with the company.

This diploma thesis deals with the determination of risk in rally races and suggests methods to reduce them. The theoretical part is devoted to the legal definition of rally races and terms of rallye, risk and in addition there will be described and explained the methods used in the risk analysis. It also includes part devoted to the history of rally racing in the world and in Czech Republic. The analytical part includes time plan of rally race. Risk analysis methods mentioned in the theoretical part, are used in the analytical part. The aim is to propose measures that are actually able to reduce the risk in itself, or its impacts.

Title: Somatotype and off-ice performance as predictors for long term hockey perspective in youth ice hockey players. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to determine whether a player's somatotype and performance in selected off-ice tests predict a player's hockey perspective judged by coaches in youth hockey of the highest domestic competition. Methods: The thesis included 112 hockey players in highest youth league. The off-ice tests included 1. Illinois agility, 2. Illinois agility with a ball, 3. Five jump test, 4. Sit and Reach Flexibility Test, 5. Squat Jump, 6. Free Arm Countermovement Jump, 7. Pull ups, 8. 1500 m run. The somatotype was evaluated according to the method of Heath and Carter (1990). The analysis of variance with repetition was used to compare performances over time with respect to somatotype categorization. A paired T-test with a confidence level of 95 % (p < 0,05) was used to assess potential within-survey. Cohen's d was used for the paired T-test to estimate the clinical significance (effect size), with Cohen's d ≤ 0.3 determined as the clinically significant effect size. Nutrition of elite cross-country skiers in summer training

Title: Nutrition of elite cross-country skiers during summer preparation. Aims: The study aims to describe the nutrition of endurance athletes competing in cross-country skiing during summer training (season). Also, to discover what is the level of their energy balance and nutrient ratio. Lastly, to find out if supplements were used during the mentioned period. Methods: The research method was a structured survey consisted of open questions focusing on a type and quantity of consumed nutrition. Furthermore, the questions were centred around physical activity detailed of a concrete type, average heart rate, distance of taken mileage, intensity and calories burned. The questionnaire was sent electronically to five men who are among the representatives of the Czech Republic in cross-country skiing. Results: Three out of five elite cross-country skiers were in a negative energy balance of which the most significant difference between energetic expenditure and intake is 1338 kcal. The most notable differences were noticed in the consumption of carbohydrates opposite to the least difference in the protein intake.
