Design of 3D printed CubeSat structure for mission KOSTKA
Control methods for wastewater pH
Picka, Marek ; Vondra, Marek (referee) ; Miklas, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis initially deals with the process of wastewater treatment with a focus on measurement, pH control and related issues. The pH value is an important parameter in wastewater treatment, which influences physical, chemical and biological processes as well as digestate treatment processes. This paper focuses on the process of thickening of digestate from a biogas plant by evaporation, which is normally associated with the leakage of volatile ammonia into the distillate. In order to eliminate this phenomenon, four methods of pH reduction were compared, which leads to the conversion of nitrogen from the volatile undesirable form 3 to the desirable form + 4 or 3 , which does not evaporate into the distillate during the evaporation process but remains in the concentrate, thus yielding a high quality fertilizer. Of the 4 methods discussed, the nitrification method appears to be the best in terms of the quality of the fertilizer output, but its disadvantage is the long retention time. From the point of view of flue gas utilization, lowering the pH by bubbling 2 and acidification with acid is a suitable method. For cases where speed and low acquisition costs are important, pH reduction with acid is preferable, unless high operating costs are a problem. In order to assess the correct method of pH reduction for a particular biogas plant, a techno-economic evaluation and consideration of other operational constraints is required and will be the subject of future work.

Process model of information system maintenance
Pavlas, Petr ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Mikoláš, Mikoláš (referee)
The thesis is dedicated to the modeling of processes related to the operation of information systems. The theoretical part deals with the operation of information systems in the context of the general methodology for IT services and procedural framework ITIL for service management in IT services. The following part focuses on overview of the basic principles for process modeling and brief characteristics of selected modeling methodologies and notations. Theoretical assumptions are applied in the practical part of the thesis, in which BPMN notation through using the software tool ARIS Express are assembled general models of identified key processes associated with the operation of an information system according to the procedural framework ITIL.
Choosing an antivirus program
David, Jan ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Hanzlík, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on choosing a free antivirus software for basic internet usage on a personal computer. The first part focuses on the issue of malicious software and is divided into categories based on various viewpoints. In addition, several types of prevention are mentioned. This part also explains the history of antivirus software. The second part contains the actual comparison of five freeware antiviruses. Selection of these five programs is based on a survey. The test consists of five criteria: time of computer deep scan, disc usage, memory usage, user interface and safety rating by AV-Test. These criteria are weighted using Saaty method and the final result is calculated using a weighted sum method.
Porting of Prawn Library from Ruby to Python 3
Molhanec, Michal ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Mikoláš, Mikoláš (referee)
This work focuses on automatic translation of code written in Ruby programming language into Python 3. First part investigates principles of computer programming languages translation as is described in the literature. Second part compares elements of these two programming languages and suggests ways how these elements can be translated. Based on this theory I developed Ruby-to-Python translator. Its working is demonstrated on the translation of the Prawn library for generating PDF files.
Using MySQL in .NET
Voska, David ; Brožek, Jiří (advisor) ; Pícka, Marek (referee)
Theoretical part deals with describing C Sharp .NET language, especially of libraries for working with SQL language in MySql environment. There is a space devoted to SQL language, which is described as well in this work. Practical part is composed from code which use connector from Oracle, which provides access to MySql and components of C# language, which provides visualisation of data and its editing.
Choosing a Linux distribution for file server
Paznocht, Jiří ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Mikoláš, Mikoláš (referee)
Goal of this thesis named "Choosing a Linux server for file server" is to find out optimal distribution of Linux for this server. In theoretical part we will be introduced with project GNL/Linux, with his history and architecture of core. Next we will describe problemation of operating systems as them own and their functions. Main thesis characterize each of one distributions. After selecting the various criteria by which it will be made selection are assigned to these criteria, the value of each entering variants. Selection is made by the multiple criteria analysis method. In thesis is used method summary of weight. For correct process of this method have to be input file edited to normalized file and every criterions have to be rated by weights. For intend weights is use Saaty's method. In end of thesis are implemented and conclusions results of conducted analysis.
Selecting of antiviral programme
Uzel, Kryštof ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Hanzlík, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on selecting of antiviral programme for a basic Windows user. The thesis is divided into two chapters. First chapter will contain of a basic information about computer viruses. Next part is about the antiviral programmes, what it is and how it works. In the last chapter, there will be practically described selecting of the best antiviral programme for Windows basic users with a method called multi-criteria analysis of options
Passwords and their quality
Šebková, Alena ; Pícka, Marek (advisor) ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis is about computer passwords and their quality. The main aim of this work is find out if a quality of the passwords depends on age, education and professes. It was created a questionnaire which was given out to many respondents. Respondents were different age and different professions. The work is divided to two parts. Theoretical part is about statistic methods, creating questionnaires and all about passwords. Practical part includes computings and results of statistic analysis.
