Pešková, Hana ; Hynková Dingová, Naďa (advisor) ; Macurová, Alena (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on directionality effects on quality of outcome narrative within the interpreting between Czech Language and Czech Sign Language. In the following chapters it deals with working languages of the interpreter and the definition of the term direction in the context of translatology. The last part focuses on children of deaf adults, called CODA, who are active in interpreting profession. The objective of the research section was to reproduce the Dutch research Directionality effects in simultaneous language interpreting: the case of sign language interpreters in The Netherlands (Van Dijk et al., 2011) in our environment on Czech and Czech Sign Language material and comparison of results of the surveys. The findings of this work can serve both fort he development of interpreting students' education and for professional interpreters in their lifelong continuous education. Effects of some flavonoids in isolated rat aortic rings
Pešková, Hana ; Vopršalová, Marie (advisor) ; Pourová, Jana (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Hana Pešková Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Vopršalová, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Effects of some flavonoids in isolated rat aortic rings Flavonoids with their wide range of effects are known for having positive influence on human health. It mainly concerns significant antioxidant and anti- inflammatory characteristics and cardiovascular diseases incidence reducing effects. The aim of this study was examination of vasorelaxant effects of selected flavonoids from isoflavonoid group: formononetin, isoformononetin, prunetin and ononin, occuring especially in Fabaceae family. The vasorelaxation potential of tested substances was examinated in in vitro conditions on isolated aortic rings of rat. The effect of increasing doses of individual flavonoids on preparation, with intact endothelium after previous precontraction with norepinefrine, was monitored (10-5 M). From measured values, there were DRC curves, EC50 values created and an evaluation was made. According to analysis of the results, the most significat activity has fromononetin (EC50 2,081 . 10-5 M) and isoformononetin (EC50 2,081, 10-5 M). Ononin showed almost no vasodilatory effect.
Prevention of glaucoma illness
Krpešová, Jana ; Pešková, Hana (advisor)
The introduced thesis deals with the contemporary information and possibilities in prevention of glaucoma. Glaucoma is a disease characterized by progressive optic neuropathy, without therapy resulting in blindness. Risk factors include increase of intraocular pressure, genetic predispositions, race, age and gender. There is no possibility of primary prevention of glaucoma till now and the only opportunity seems to be the active search for risk factors and examination of their importance. As described in the first chapter, there exist many factors participating in emergence of glaucoma. The set of important risk factors involves intraocular pressure, age, race, gender and diagnosis of refractive error. To determine how to influence some of these risk factors is possible solution in primary prevention of glaucoma. Some other epidemiological studies have been performed to establish impact of lifestyle, diet and smoking on genesis of glaucoma. Factors of lifestyle such as training, diet and smoking, which potentially affect intraocular pressure, have been examined. However, no relation as hypothesized has been confirmed so far. There is necessary to undertake some additional studies on establishment of primary prevention of this disease. The only evidenced effective strategy in prevention of glaucoma remains...
