Invertebrate fauna in Zbrašov aragonite caves
Tajovský, Karel ; Tuf, I.H. ; Papáč, V. ; Růžička, Vlastimil ; Mlejnek, R.
This contribution summarized the research of invertebrate fauna in ZAC. They have been implemented since the nineties of the 20th century. The most intensive study has started since 2001, when the Cave Administration of the Czech Republic in cooperation with existing workplaces of Biology Centre AS CR in České Budějovice and the Palacký University in Olomouc systematically explored the entire cave. The result was the detection of 49 kinds of invertebrates. The observed fauna consists of troglofilous species whose population evidently lives permanently here, and also number of representatives who occasionally penetrate the caves from the outside or have found the better conditions in the cooler parts of the year here. The contribution commented on some more important species.
