The Policy of the EC - EU on the Czech Republic during years 1989 - 2004

The dissertation deals with the complicated procedure of development and transformation of the European Communities (later transformed into the European Union) and Czechoslovakia in the period from 1989 to 1992. This procedure had to be fulfilled and exceeded by the European Union and the Czech Republic by the reason of accesion and integration. The process is introduced mainly from the politics´ point of view. The work also describes preparations for the conclusion of the association agreement and the later accession of the Czech Republic to already existing and functioning European Union. The final part of the work focuses on the prediction of the future progress of the Czech Republic within the European Union after the year 2004.

Markowitzův model optimalizace portfolia

The thesis deals with modern portfolio theory. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the historical development of portfolio optimization and presents the basic theoretical background of the Markowitz model, the Tobin model and the Capital asset pricing model. In the practical part of the thesis, the models are applied to real data from two Czech securities markets, PSE and RM-S. An optimal portfolios composition is proposed by the three models mentioned above and then the outputs of the models are compared to the real datas from the next period. Finally, the benefits and drawbacks of the used models are evaluated.

Use of the Regional Operational Program NUTS II South-West for the area of tourism in South Bohemia

This thesis deals with the Regional Policy and an allocation of European financial recourses assigned to the Czech Republic for the regional programs in 2007-2013. It handles general principles of receiving a support from the operational program ROP NUTS II South-West. The thesis focuses on development of micro-regions in South Bohemia concerning the increase of accommodation capacities.
