Level of sphere- of- knowledge of primary school pupils in population protection in emergency situations in the district Třebíč
PEŠTÁLOVÁ, Nela
Protecting people from emergencies is one of the topics that will return to great attention today and its teaching is intensively used. The fire brigade of the Czech Republic has a great deal of credit for this, which uses its activities in the preparation of the population, such as creating or participating in the creation of learned books, brochures, photographs and worklists for schools. At present, teaching and education in the field of population protection takes place on two levels. The first deals with the education of professionals and the second with the education and training of the population. With regard to the education of the already mentioned population, it is necessary to start inculcating basic rules in children in kindergartens. The area of human protection in emergencies is thus part of the framework educational programs for both pre-school, primary and secondary education. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of population protection in educational plans at primary schools. The aim of educating pupils is to acquire information important for the protection of lives, health, property and the environment in the prevention of emergencies or their possible occurrence. A large chapter consists of teaching materials, which can be freely downloaded from the website of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. I also mention the hotlines that are important in the event of an emergency. Today allows a lot of travel, so I also included emergency lines abroad. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to determine the level of knowledge of 8th grade primary school pupils in the field of emergency protection in the Třebíč district and then compare the knowledge of pupils living and at the same time attending school in the emergency planning zone of Dukovany nuclear power plant and pupils living and comes to the school outside the emergency planning zone of the nuclear power plant. Using a questionnaire survey and methods of mathematical and descriptive statistics, I found that the knowledge of secondary school students in the field of protection of the population during emergencies in the Třebíč district reaches at least 70 % and also that "Knowledge of primary school students in the emergency planning zone is not significantly higher than the knowledge of pupils attending school outside the emergency planning zone. " The benefit of this work is a comprehensive overview of the teaching of human protection in emergencies at primary schools. Furthermore, the work could serve as a topic for future diploma or bachelor's theses with the possibility of focusing the research part on another territory of the country
