Příprava optických vlnovodů ve speciálně navržených Er- a Yb- dotovaných silikátových sklech iontovou výměnou Ag.sup.+./sup./Na.sup.+./sup

Modification of the Ag.sup.+./sup./Na.sup.+./sup. exchange conditions was done in order to decrease optical losses and to modify n(x) profile of the waveguides. This was achieved using reaction melt with decreased Ag.sup.+./sup. content and consequent annealing of the samples.
Tuned semiconductor laser for the diagnostic of the channel waveguides

In contribution is described new measuring set up with tuned semiconductor laser and there are given first results of spectral losses and group refractive index in various channel waveguides by using a resonator method. The waveguides were prepared in special glasses by ion exchanges method and in LiNbO.sub.3./sub. crystal by proton exchange and also by titan difusion. Experimental results have demonstrated accuracy and rate of this arangement. In conclusion we have shown the possibility of the next research.

Diagnostic of vertically coupled microring resonator

A vertically coupled microring resonator based on Si.sub.3./sub.N.sub.4./sub.-SiO.sub.2./sub. technology was characterized by a tunable sem iconductor laser. The drop spectral responses were measured and resonator finesse, free spectral range and group effective index were determined.
