Minimalization of Boolean functions by means of Quine-McCluskey's method
Niedoba, Pavel ; Karásek, Jiří (referee) ; Skula, Ladislav (advisor)
This work is concerned with minimalization of Boolean functions by means of Quine-McCluskey´s method with application of the method of prime implicants for obtaining the minimal form of the function and with minimalization using an equi\-valence. Another part of the work is an application implementing these minimalization methods.
Possibilities of energy exploitation of biomass – direct combustion
Hlaváč, David ; Niedoba, Pavel (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with general definition of biomass and classifies biomass into groups by origin. The main focus of the thesis is on the conversion of raw biomass into the valuable energy sources and direct combustion of biomass. The conclusion is dedicated to devices designated for biomass combustion and examples of realizations.
Meshless methods for computational fluid dynamics
Niedoba, Pavel ; Zatočilová, Jitka (referee) ; Čermák, Libor (advisor)
The thesis deals with meshfree methods, especially the SPH method. It is focused on the question of convergence near the boundary of the problem domain and its following solution in the form of using the so-called ghost particles as a boundary condition. There is also presented a suitable setting of parameters for a shock tube 2D problem based on many tests and software modifications.
