Raising children in a family from the perspective of parents of Vietnamese living in the Czech Republic

This bachelor's thesis explores, and ascertains, the view of Vietnamese adolescents regarding parenting styles in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes parenting styles in an American-European context, Confucianism in Vietnamese society, Vietnamese families in Czech Republic and different factors that could influence parenting styles and a Vietnamese family's life in the Czech Republic, such as: integration of Vietnamese, identity of the second generation of Vietnamese migrants, Confucian concept of family ideology and upbringing, etc. The practical part analyses a young, Vietnamese girl reflection about the upbringing of her parents. The practical part includes research which was realized by one in-depth semistructured interview. The interview was analysed by qualitative method IPA. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
