Do not throw stones at prophets or songsters are like birds. On the thought of artistic avant-garde in relation to the present
Neubert, Lukáš ; Ševčík, Oldřich (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of the hypothetic disappearance of artistic avant-garde as a movement after the World War II. As far as the west block is concerned, the author shifts this disappearance up to the era of postmodernism and as for the east block, he describes its attenuation as a result of the witch-hunt associated with that particular regime (largely, it was Karel Teige's case) and its consequential transition to the underground. Following the artistic personalities of Vladimír Boudník and Egon Bondy, he illustrates continuation of the avant-garde ideas in our country for far longer than up to the end of the World War II. He proves the fact that these ideas continued in the West even after the World War II. by an example of Conference of Free Artists in Alba (Italy) and Situationist International, the activity of the latter still has not been much noted in our country.
