Animotherapy for children and adolescents with combined disabilities

1 Summary This bachelor's thesis deals with the question of whether animotherapy is a beneficial and meaningful part of comprehensive rehabilitation care for children and adolescents with combined disabilities. The goal was to evaluate whether this method contributes to the fulfillment of the set therapeutic goals. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic principles, ideas and approaches of zootherapy, its basic division and how the individual methods developed and what their uses are. Furthermore, this section outlines the issue of combined disability and mentions some studies dealing with similar issues. The research and practical part of the work was created in the Zahrada Integration Center with the participation of the entire multidisciplinary team in cooperation with the families of the participating children. Data collection took place in the form of a questionnaire and a recording of a kinesiological examination, then the evaluation was carried out using the Goal Attainment Scale method. From the evaluation of the results in the individual areas, it is therefore possible to state that in the motor area the condition improved in almost 2/3 of the cases and the condition did not deteriorate even once. Effect of intensive hippotherapy and intensive physiotherapy on a range of motion in a hip articulatio in children with spastic cerebral palsy

1 Abstract This bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the description of the clinical picture of cerebral palsy, its diagnosis and the possibilities of rehabilitation in our country, where for the purposes of this particular work are described in detail hyporehabilitation and the TheraSuit method. It also introduces the anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint. The practical part is devoted to the examination of the range of movements of the hip joint in 16 probands divided into 2 groups according to the therapeutic approach. The selected therapeutic approaches for this work were TheraSuit space suit therapies and hippotherapy. A total of 2 examinations were performed, entry and exit, on the 1st and 6th day of therapy, during which the ranges of all movements in the hip joint were measured using a goniometer and at the same time 2 standardized tests for hip spasticity were assessed. The aim of the study was to evaluate whether weekly intensive rehabilitation has an effect on the change in the range of motion in the hip joint and, if so, which of the above methods has this effect greater. Postural Therapy for Defective Body Posture.

Název: Terapie postury u vadného drženi těla Therapy ofdefektiv body posture Cfte práee: cilem práce je určit vhodnější přistup v terapii vadného drženi těla mezi lokálním vyrovnáváním svalové dysbalance a celkovou korekcí postury. Dále vytvořit test pro vnitřní potřebu rehabilitačního ústavu pro hodnocení postury. Metoda: práce je pojatajako meziskupinový jednofaktorový pokus se sledováním změn vjednotlivých skupinách s využitím metody pozorováni k vyhodnocení změn v držení těla. Dále metody testování postury v průběhu celé terapie a porovnávání výsledků jednotlivých vyšetření. Výsledky: výsledky podle sestaveného testu prokázaly lepší výsledky skupiny s celostním přístupem v terapii. Závislost bolesti na typu terapie se nepodaiilo prokázat, neboť změny bolesti v obou skupinách se pohybovali ve stejných rozmezích KHčová slova: Postura, vadné drženi těla, testování 2

Effect of hippotherapy on the sole in contact with a flat surface in case of children after verticalisation

The thesis deals with hippotherapy and its impact on the musculoskeletal system with a particular focus on monitoring arches of the foot. The goal of the thesis was to evaluate the effect of the hippotherapeutic method - as defined by MA. Kateřina Čapková - on the foot in case of verticalized child patients. Additionally, I aimed to find out if the PhysioSensing platform is relevant to measure children with special needs. The work is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical one, I analyze the method of hippotherapy for patients with cerebral palsy and pathologies of the foot, as well as concepts of their physiotherapeutic care. The empirical part assesses the results from the measuring of probands at the beginning and at the end of a one-week-lasting hippotherapeutic treatment organized by the Center of hipporehabilitation Mirákl. The research shows that the PhysioSensing platform, as a tool for objectivization of the foot of patients with physical or cognitive/mental handicaps may be valid only under very special conditions.
