Videocodec - Videosequence Compression
Bařina, David ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with modern methods of a lossy still image and video compression. Wavelet transformation and SPIHT algorithm also belong to these methods. In second half of this thesis, a videocodec is implemented based on acquired knowledge. This codec uses Daubechies wavelets to analyse an image. Afterwards there is a modified SPIHT algorithm applied on gained coefficients. A lot of effort was put in order to optimize this computation. It is possible to use the created codec in Video for Windows, DirectShow and FFmpeg multimedia frameworks. At the end of this thesis, commonly used codecs are compared with newly created one.
SMART CAR: Traffic Signs Detection
Brzoza, Martin ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned about known methods of detection traffic signs in video sequence. In introduction are explained and located main benefits in the light of process speed and accuracy of detection. At the next chapters is designed system for traffic signs detection and classification. In the end is this system tested on prepared testing data and results are evaluated. The work is focused on method Template Matching for classification and color appearance model CieCam97 for detecting candidate areas.
Road Surface Detection
Melichar, Jiří ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis deals with a method for road surface detection in picture and is inspired by work of S. Thrun and H. Dahlkamp. The method works with color models of road, which are adjusted to changing environment. Then these models are used to classify the picture. Output of this is the detected road. The method is thoroughly analyzed, implemented and tested. Test results are discussed and proposals for improvements are presented.
Object Detection in Images
Vaľko, Tomáš ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Švub, Miroslav (advisor)
Object detection in images is quite popular topic for years. What stands for it are a lot of works from this area of computer science. This thesis is about object classification, specifically human faces, which are one of the most interesting objects for processing. For classification we use neural networks, learned on face database. We study what influence has size of face database and preprocessing of digital image on neural network learning. This project implements simple face detector and localizator. It summarizes more and less successful results and indicates possible ways of system development in the future.
Melody Harmonization
Svoboda, Jan ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Fapšo, Michal (advisor)
The Master's Thesis discusses the possibilities of automatic melody harmonization. System use dictionary method for harmonization, this was inspired with comprimation algorithm LZW. System's output file is in MusicXML format.
