Security Enforcement in Northern Ireland 1971-1978: Low Intensity Operations

Bachelor thesis titled "Security Enforcement in Northern Ireland 1971-1978: Low Intensity Operations" is focused on strategy and tactics of key actors of Ulster conflict in relation to broader concept of asymmetric warfare. It summarizes basic concepts which are subsequently applied on cases of Provisional Irish Republican Army and Unionist Paramilitaries and first and foremost on the case of British army. The most significant is the second part of this work, where is through roughly examined the role of military as of the strategic tool in countering terrorism and limitations of such tool. This segment is enriched of short excursion through historical experience of British army in imperial policing and campaigns after Second World War.
