Connection simulation between master and end unit in passive optical networks
Moravcová, Klára ; Kočí, Lukáš (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to introduce and explain the standards of passive optical networks, their way of establishing connection between master unit and end unit in a network, as well as creating a working simulation in Matlab. The first chapter of this thesis covers the description of optical networks. In the chapter, individual layers of the GPON standard by ITU-T and the EPON standard by IEEE are described. The process of an ONU unit activation towards the OLT unit of these standards is covered in detail. The thesis describes the following standards: EPON, GPON, 10G-EPON, XGPON and NG-PON2. The practical part covers the simulations of the mentioned standards, which are displayed in the form of graphs. The results are interpreted through comparison of the graphs with various input parameters (number of connected ONU units and the length of the distribution network) with a final evaluation of these results.
Virtual network topology design based on software defined networks
Moravcová, Klára ; Slavíček, Karel (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with virtualization of data networks, but mainly with concept of software-defined networking. Architecture, security risks and differences besides traditional networks are described within SDN framework. Description includes protocol OpenFlow, which is integral part of SDN concept. Brief summary mentions also NFV concept. The goal of this thesis is to determine available solutions, invent laboratory task and compile laboratory manual. Tables with currently available controllers and commutators for SDN were created and pattern of laboratoral task was realized within Mininet emulator and OpenDaylight controller. Laboratoral task itself is designed with aim to apprize students of subject of Network architecture with SDN concept and its real implementation.
Sacral terracotta architecture of Mallabhum kingdom
Moravcová, Klára ; Půtová, Barbora (advisor) ; Hříbek, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis discusses terracotta architecture of the vaishnava temples in the city of Vishnupur. Its goal is to present this type of architectural art. In the first part, Vishnupur is set in geographical location and historical era, especially during the times of the Malla reign, whose genealogy is outlined from the 7th to the 17th century. The following parts consist of architectual descriptions and religious importance of terracotta temples from their origin till the 17th century. Chapters also include interpretation of decorative motives and reliefs on the outer walls, where each of the interpretations is accompanied by illustrations both visual and literal. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis assesses the architecture of the Vishnupur temples in the context of each individual style and design of other hindu temples and summarizes the subject. Key words: Architecture, West Bengal, terracotta, hinduism, India
