Marie Mládková Tutor: Dr. Vojtěch Eliáš Date: September 2007 The aim of the thesis "Trust: The Premise for a Human and Religious Growth" is to stress the importance of trust in a particular life stage of a human being, i.e. his/her human as well as religious growth with a view to a younger pupilage. This thesis contains seven chapters where just one important key word can be found: Trust. The sixth chapter deals with the research which was focused on the investigation of trust hold by children at the first stage of the elementary school. Life is not possible without trust. Trust is needed for establishment of well-balanced interpersonal relationships, for building relation to myself and relationship with God, too. A human being grows into the society and becomes a personality. To trust means to rely, to depend, to be drifted along on one hand and not to build only upon own potencies on the other one. Trust represents the basis of faith and love. Trust is strongly connected with hope that is an anchor of our life. Trust opens the path for God so that he could enter the world throughout us.
