"I am willing to be of service untill there are enough youth...." - the work of Hugo Vavrečka in the Czechoslovak diplomacy between 1919 and 1932.

The subject of the presented thesis is the diplomatic career of Hugo Vavrečka. The thesis attempts to describe how he entered the Czechoslovak foreign service through his anabasis in Trieste and his expert role at the Paris Peace Conference. The emphasis is placed on his political reports and all his activities during his diplomatic missions to Hamburg, Budapest and Vienna in the context of international relations. The research material has mainly been drawn from primary archival sources, contemporary periodicals and scientific literature.

The subject of the presented Bachelor Thesis is the life and personality of Hugo Vavrečka. In the thesis, I will be trying to briefly describe his life story. The emphasis will be put on his activities in the Baťa company, as well as in the leading position of Little Entente Economic bureau, and his activity in governments of Milan Hodza and Jan Syrovy. All of that within the context of his post-war life. The thesis will be mainly based on archival resources and specialised literature.
