Ethical aspects of savings, investments and stock-exchange gambling

Title: Ethical Matters of Savings, Investments and Stock-Exchange Gambling Annotation: The thesis will analyze ethical problems related to savings, investments and stock- exchange gambling. It will consist of three parts. The first part will explain economic terms and mechanisms which will be employed in the remaining parts of the paper. The second part will try to find, discuss and apply the criteria of ethical valorization of money. The third part will introduce practical problems with ethical valorization of money and provide an additional outline of current options available to a practical person interested in this topic here. The emphasis will be placed on thorough analysis of the problem, providing an overall outlook on the problems and giving a clear justification and evaluation of criteria which will be the main output of the thesis. The thesis will be based on the biblical ethos and on the opinions of moral theologians and its conclusions will be compared to the viewpoint of the church magisterium. Moral and legal aspects of the early stage of human life The presented thesis discusses normative aspects of the early stage of human life, especially in regard to the problem of embryo-destructive research. It places the discussion in the factual and normative context of the Czech society. It discusses moral questions raised in international literature. The author applies the knowledge to the Czech situation and recommends that further discussion focus on the objective understanding of the value of human life, as well as on rule-utilitarian considerations.

Resumé in English Ethical aspects of prenatal diagnostics Currently, parents who plan to have a child are offered a number of diagnostic techniques to get information whether the ontogeny of the child is in accordance with ever more precisely specified biological criteria. This offer inherently includes particular risks of selection and, therefore, a range of internationally acknowledged recommendations on performing prenatal diagnostics has been set. The study includes a detailed description of available methods of prenatal diagnostics and assesses them according to the following ethical criteria: the integrity of human life, the life is more then its quality, non maleficence, beneficience. Supervisor PhDr. Keywords: suicide, assisted suicide, responsibility, physician, patient The thesis first defines the basic terms and then describes suicide from the ethical perspective as a choice between life and death. It also shows the Christian ethics point of view. Then it focuses on the assisted suicide, which ethically relates to the topic, being a choice between life and death - but also contains suffering and pain in peoples' lives, concerning mainly ill people and dying people. Here, Christian ethics point of view is described, as well. Due to the wide scope of the topic, the following chapter specifies the relation physician-patient, looking closely at the amount of their responsibility during the treatment and at the end of the patient's life, comparing the past and present situation. Then there is a chapter on palliative care, which is, in my opinion, the right approach to the physician-patient relation in the contemporary medicine, and also a kind of a solution when discussing euthanasia or assisted suicide issues. The bachelor degree thesis "Morality and sport - the issue of doping " tries to describe one of the up-to-date sport problem which is doping. It also tries to show what doping is, what leads sportsmen to its abuse and what are the effects of using illegal backdrops applications. Generally the doping sportsman is not the only one who knows about abusing of illegal substances, this problem concerns sportsmen as well as trainers, doctors, officials and other people who proceed in the area of sport. The thesis puts mind to human health and its damaging under the influence of doping substances and applications and shows how clerical documents see this problem.

The final thesis "Human Cloning and Value of Humanity in the View of Theological Ethics and Ethic of Responsibility" discusses the ethical context of human cloning. It pertains to the issue of the moral legitimacy of reproductive and therapeutic human cloning. Both these methods are connected to the utilization of human embryos. Are men authorized to manipulate human embryos in this way and is it a responsible action in the long term? This thesis aims to answer these questions including respect for the dignity of human life and its preservation.The thesis presents important inventions for biomedicine, and in this context tries to gain a glimpse of an image of contemporary man, interprets relevant legislation and discussion on the status of the embryo. The basis of theological ethics is the base of an ethical thinking which is emphasized by the assumption of responsibility for the life of future generations. The lenitive care should secure the best live - quality until the death. It is possible to make the Pain-treatment at home, in the hospices and also in the hospitals. The family should secure to the dying person the occasion to reconcile with himself, with the other people and with the God.

Bachelor thesis "Ethics and sport - The doping problems" maps the situation of doping controls in the Czech Republic, possibilitiet of doping preventions and next repressions for rules breaching.
The right of state to punish

The work deals with the law of the State to punish. The author seeks answers to her unspoken questions, whether the State has the right to punish its citizens, or on what base can do so. In solution to this question, author comes from the needs a good arrangement of human relations given with justice and law at first. After examining similarities and differences between moral norms and legal norms she ultimately concludes, that punishment isn't an expression of malevolence, but rather can be a mean of education.
