Geological and geotechnical characterisation of the mining environment - URF Bukov II - Interim report III

This report describes the work carried out in the third year of the public contract Geological and geotechnical characterisation of the rock environment – the Bukov URF II. The characterisation and descriptive works are directly related to the excavation of the premises for the future underground laboratory. These include in particular: geological and geotechnical documentation of the faces and walls of the workings, petrographic, mineralogical and structural geological documentation, hydrogeological characterisation of the environment, as well as determination of the physical and mechanical properties of the rock-mass in situ and in the laboratory, geophysical characterisation and monitoring of the seismic effects of blasting. The report also includes the newly developed rock mass\nclassification system and the results of its testing on the Bukov URF II site. The report includes also brief overview of the work planned for the following year of the project.

The subject of this bachelor thesis named „Evaluation of the financial situation of a company and proposals for its improvement“ is an analysis of current status of specific company and a suggestion for improvement of its financial situation and compare with a competing company. The goals of my thesis are listed in theoretical part, together with methods used to improve the financial situation of the company. In second part I introduce both companies and than I focus on analysis and its problematic parts and I also describe suggestions for improvement of the situation.

Stability of Incumbents in the Parliament of the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the personal stability of the Czech Parliament in the period after 1993 when the Czech Republic was founded. The author assumes a better orientation in both organizational and procedural issues of reelected representatives. The aim of this thesis is to explore what factors have influenced the rate of reelection of MPs and Senators and how these are subsequently reflected in the personal structure of both Chambers. Using a quantitative analysis, the author tests the hypothesis that the rate of reelection will be higher in the Senate due to the majority voting system which is more personalized than the proportional one used in the Chamber of Deputies. The hypothesis was tested in the Committees analogically. Furthermore, the author tests if the current level of voter turnout influences the final election results and the rate of reelection, respectively. The text is divided into three chapters. The thesis is composed of a common structure heading from a theoretical background towards empirical analysis.

Ekologické aspekty impaktu hrabošů (Microtus spp.) a norníka rudého na výsadby buku lesního v pohoří Hrubý Jeseník

In the mountains Hrubý Jeseník was the 18 monitoring plots in the years 2010-2013 conducted tramping of small mammals, inventory damage gnaw the bark of the beech forest plantations and the measured data to investigate the factors influencing the impact of small mammals. Small mammals were then evaluated in terms of dominance, impact on planting and statistically analyzed factors affecting impact. The results show that the dominant group were representatives Arvicolinae (n= 512, 62.4%): Clethrionomys glareolus (n= 306, 37.3%), Microtus agrestis (n= 181, 22.1%), Microtus arvalis (n=23, 2.8%), Microtus subterraneus (n= 2, 0.2%). In terms gnaw the bark of trees to damage most often involved in Microtus agrestis and Microtus arvalis, causing minor damage also Clethrionomys glareolus. Altitude, exposition, composition and character of the herb layer and abundance of voles are significant factors which can affect the impact of small mammals. This information can be useful for forest management, which can reduce the risk of the forest damage occurrence and decrease costs of silvicultural operations.
