The aim of this diploma thesis is the valuation of the company Daruma spol. s r.o through determining the threshold values for the seller and buyer in the case that current owners would consider the sale of the company. The valuation date is 31st December 2015. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on the theoretical information about valuation of small and medium enterprise. The second part is devoted to the valuation as such, the threshold values are calculated and then the potential arbitration value under the terms of the transaction is estimated.

Capital intensity of the selected economic activities in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the long-term relationship between the value of the fixed assets and the output of the selected economic activities for the period of the years 1995 and 2009. All economic activities except the industrial ones were selected for the analysis. The thesis contains also evaluation of the assumption of the parametric and Gordon formula for the calculation of the residual value. The output of the thesis is the recommendation of the estimating the investments and alternative practice for the calculation of the residual value. The thesis is also focused on evaluation of the sensitivity of the selected economic activities on the economic conjuncture taking into consideration that economic growth is considered as decisive when planning the future growth rate g of businesses and economic activities.

Evaluation of investment project focusing on the creation of university dormitory

Diploma thesis has a character of a feasibility study which may serve for implementation of a smaller development project. This project is focused on the creation of student dormitory on university level by reconstructing an administration building. The goal of the thesis is to present a basic structure of implementation of such development project from construction and operation view and in terms of financial evaluation based on requirements of a private investor. Furthermore, the document describes in detail the Slovak accommodation market, reasons for such an investment, aspects of reconstruction, operating plan and financial side of the entire investment. The basic methods of financial performance measurement

Company's performance is a very important factor that affects company's ability to survive in today's highly competitive environment. But the question is how to measure this performance. Bachelor thesis is focused on analyzing and mapping the most important and innovative methods of measuring company's performance. Accounting information is crucial when analyzing methods, because it's a major source of many of them. The work therefore assesses the potential of accounting information to be a quality source of information for the performance measurement. The main idea is to make a comparative analysis of the above mentioned methods of performance measurement, in order to find the most appropriate method (or combination of them) which could be used to measure the performance in the context of managing the company's value, for its managers' need (internal users).
