Ways of formulation of prohibition in Russian in comparison with Czech

The thesis deals with the issue of expressing a ban in Russian in comparison with Czech. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of the ways of expressing the ban in the comparison plan. Theoretical starting points are applied in the practical part of the work, where the knowledge is supplemented by acquired examples, and we find out in which ways of expressing the ban in both languages exact equivalents can be found and where, on the contrary, the expression of the ban differs. 4 TITLE: Teaching aids for work with verbs of movement at elementary level in Russian language teaching SUMMARY: This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Russian verbs of movement. The aim of the thesis is to compile a comprehesive set of practical exercises and additional teaching materials (work sheets), which can be used as a supporting material in Russian language teaching. The set of practical exercises and additional teaching material is suitable for students at the age of thirteen years and above. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The teoretical part defines verbs of movement from a linguistic aspect and generally characterizes the didactic approaches to teaching foreign language grammar. Practical part includes a comprehensive set of practical exercises and additional teaching materials focused on a presentation and practice of selected verbs of movement. Mistake management in a foreign language classroom

The aim of the thesis is to design general recomendations on mistake management in a foreign language classroom which would meet both teachers' and learners' requirements and methods of mistake management in a foreign language classroom which would contribute to development of learners' communicative competence. The following methods were used in the research: analysis of literature on pedagogy, psychology and methodology of foreign language teaching, interview, questionnaire and observation. Thirteen general recommendations and fifteen methods of mistake management in a foreign language classroom which contribute to the development of learners' communicative competence were designed as a result of the research.
Comparison of Adjectives in Russian and English Languages from a Linguodidactic Point of View

This diploma thesis deals with the comparison of adjectives in Russian and English languages from a linguodidactic point of view. The theoretical part is based on the general linguistic knowledge of this particular part of speech and explains the rules for the comparison of adjectives in both languages. Furthermore, the theoretical part also provides linguodidactic context of acquiring this grammatical phenomenon. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of pedagogical documents and textbooks used for teaching Russian and English languages. The last chapter of the thesis shows the results of a research focused on testing pupils attending secondary schools. The aim here is to prove the knowledge of comparative and superlative forms of adjectives in Russian and English languages on the basis of a written test. Theoretical part provides characteristics of this part of speech and highlights some differences between Russian and English. Language typology clarifies particularly features which are typical for synthetic and analytical languages. The second chapter is concerned with an overview of possible classifications of adjectives where these classifications are organized according to syntactical, morphological and semantic point of view. Practical part is devoted to the comparison itself. To attain clear arrangement, rules for the creation of comparative and superlative adjectival forms are described for each language separately. The main facts about comparison in both languages are then compared in the last chapter of the bachelor thesis. This bachelor thesis deals with Nomination of persons by their activity in the Russian language in a confrontation with the Czech language. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with ways of creating words and motivations of nomination of persons by their activity in the Russian language and the Czech language. It also analyses word-formation in both the languages. The practical part of this bachelor thesis deals with already specific comparisons of typology of nomination in terms of word-formation categories of nomination of persons by their activity in the Czech language and the Russian language e.g. productive ways of word-formation, productive formants in both the languages (prefixes, suffixes etc.) and their differences. There is also a question of gender inflection of nomination of persons by their activity between the Russian language and the Czech language that this bachelor thesis deals with. This thesis deals with creating a comprehensive summary of prepositional phrases used in the Place Adjuncts in the Russian language and in comparison with the system of prepositional phrases in Czech language, trying to determine differences that cause problems for students with learning the language. It aims to create a clear guide for students, helping them to learn the Russian language. It also discusses the findings of present-day tendencies, which currently take place in sphere of the Place Adjuncts, application of theoretical knowledge in practise, based on an analysis of publicistic texts.
Problems with using of the reflexive "себя" in studying Russian

This diploma thesis deals with the Russian reflexive pronoun «себя» in comparison with the Czech pronoun. The aim of this thesis is to compile a set of exercises for students of the Russian language in order to eliminate mistakes in connection with this topic. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is based on specialized (academical) literature. This part contains general characteristics and classifications of pronouns. It focuses on issues with the Russian reflexive pronoun and its Czech equivalents. It also includes a chapter about transfer and interference. The practical part proceeds from the theoretical part and from a questionnaire. The questionnaire was completed by the first-year students of the Faculty of Education. On the basis of its results, general conclusions and proposals of exercises for acquiring the topic are formulated and intended for students of the Russian language.
