TOWNHOUSE ON THE WATERFRONT IN PŘEROV

CONCEPTION - Different attitude than expected - Attempt to implement a model of so called city house which is already known for centuries in present Přerov. -Attempt to minimalize need number of parking places and their placement only on the groung. SOLUTION A result of the design is polyfunctional complex of five separate houses with following functions: housing (mayority) services, shopping, offices and religious areas.The goal of the solution is to fill up the corner between Brabansko and Malá Dlážka streets properly and avail excellent light conditions (orientation of main street facades is southeastern). With the rhytm and facade division particular objects try to distort strong horizontality of the street line. The corner is accented and thus represents the opposite of close Sokol building.

Buildings layout volume concludes the missing part of a city block. Its volume segmentation reinforces the corner position and constitutes an important landmark. Fully complies with the program and offers additional features. The mass effect of the building reacts facade construction details can be a solution. The building responds to its appearance near the river and the lush greenery that surrounded her. The richness of detail of the surrounding buildings and the organic platform near the river, calls for a more daring solution to their surroundings will lift.
NEW ON THE „OLD“ – Brno, Bratislavská - Stará Corner

The specified plot is located on the corner of Bratislava and old. It is a former industrial site , which is now perceived more negatively. The area is known as one of the socially excluded localities. In the vicinity there is a large number of initiatives and non-profit organizations that are trying to change this situation. Among homes with historic facades is possible to observe the characteristic features of the area - zašedlost , mild " shabbiness " distinctive apartment homes with porches that create a unique identity space. The main deficiency evaluate poor and inadequate public space . The only usable public space is a commons with sycamore trees across from the Museum of Roma culture, but which is usually filled with cars . Sufficiently large free space , which lies across from the theater joy in the middle area while the liveliest street in Bratislava , is to create a public space directly offers . I therefore propose that a sufficiently large square, which could serve to meet residents and organizing various activities.
