Evaluation of results using different methods of experimental measuring of blood pressure amongst students of the First Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University
Sova, Jan ; Kymplová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Jirsa, Jan (referee)
During the projects from biophysics of freshman students of the Faculty of Medicine the pressure measurement is run by several different methods; palpation, auscultatory and digital method. Students are learning to record the measurement in a systematic way, and they are learning to compare the results of every method to each other. The measurement of systolic and diastolic pressure are dependent on each other of course, as well they are dependent on the set of biometric and other information that is well available in healthy students (sex, height, weight, physical strain etc.). The aim of the thesis is to compare the results acquired by the methods of measurement mentioned above, related to the accuracy of the scattering of the measurement and related to the anticipated standard values of healthy individuals. The basis of the thesis is going to be project and creation of the regression model for the levels of systolic/diastolic pressure measured out that is dependent on biometric data along with the testing of statistical importance of parametres through the procedure of multifactorial ANOVA for the repeated measurement. The result will aim to show both advantages and disadvantages of different methods of the pressure measurement during accordingly varying conditions of experiments. The thesis...
Physical and physiotherapeutic possibilities for treatment of scars and keloids
Stará, Nela ; Kymplová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Táborská, Silvie (referee)
OF THE THESIS Name: Nela Stará Supervisor of the thesis: MUDr. Jaroslava Kymplová, Ph.D., MBA Opponent of the thesis: Title of the thesis: Physical and physiotherapeutic possibilities for treatment of scars and keloids Abstract of the thesis: This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of scar and keloid treatment by physiotherapeutic methods and physical therapy. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of chosen therapies on chosen patients with problematic scars. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on origin and evolution of scars, both of which is crucial for its final shape. There is also description of the methods that a physiotherapist can use while treating the scar. Part of the thesis is also dedicated to a description of particular methods of physical therapy that can be applied by a physiotherapist or a doctor. Practical part of the thesis describes the objectives, processing methods and realization process. Then it contains five casuistries of patients of various age with different diagnoses and a post-operative scar which is placed in different locations. Therapy effect is assessed by observing the differences in results between initial and output examination focused on scar examination, pain scale evaluation and...
Physiotherapy of child cerebral palsy patients. Subtitle: With focus on quadruparetic type with severe mental disability
Zajícová, Johana ; Kymplová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Konopáčová, Eva (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Johana Zajícová Supervisor: MUDr. Jaroslava Kymplová MBA, Ph.D. Name of the bachelor thesis: Physiotherapy of child cerebral palsy patiens: Subtitle: With focus on quadruparetic type with severe mental disability This bachelor thesis describes cerebral palsy and applicable physiotherapy approaches. It consists of a theoretical and a practical chapter. Both are focused on child patients with severe mental disorder. Theoretical chapter is formed as a background research on cerebral palsy. It discusses it's etiology, pathogenesis, manifestations, rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Characterisation of quadruparetic type with severe mental disorder is delineated in the last section. Practical chapter includes two case reports of immobile patients with quadriparetic type of cerebral palsy and severe mental disorder. It comprises examination and following physiotherapeutic intervention. The results of therapy were green by goniometry. Applied therapeutic methods were soft tissue techniques, passive movements, prolonged stretching and respiratory physiotherapy. The aim of this thesis is to summarise current cerebral palsy physiotherapy techniques, describes the applied therapy and its effects on immobile patients with quadruparetic type and severe mental disorder diagnosis. Key...
The use of high intensity laser in physiotherapy
Kremlíková, Lucie ; Kymplová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Jeníček, Jakub (referee)
Title: The Use of High Intensity Laser in Physiotherapy Abstract: This bachelor thesis is concerned to the use of a high performance laser in the physiotherapy, especially at patiens with painful or functional disorders of shoulder joint. The thesis is dividend into the oretical and practical part. The aim of this work is to raise the awareness of the use of a high performance laser in the physiotherapy and by there a search compare the results of the therapy with laser and without at selected patients. The theoretical part is devoted to laser problematic. This part provils informations about basic laser principals and effects, indication and contraindication, but also presents different types of lasers and their use. The second part deals with shoulder joint, its anatomy, kinesiology and phatology. The practical part is based on research of the effects of high performance laser therapy at patiens with painful or functional disorders of the shoulder. The effect of therapy is judged in terms of pain and active range of movements. Patients are divided in two groups (target and control group). The results of research provide the informations on the positive effect of the therapy by using a high performance laser at monitored patients. The discussion of the work focuses on the evaluation of the effect of the...
