Kozubík, Jan ; Pfeiffer, Magdalena (advisor) ; Zavadilová, Marta (referee)
Recognition of foreign adoptions by same-sex couples Abstract The thesis deals with one of the current issues of regulation of parenthood in private international law, namely the recognition of foreign adoption by same-sex couples. In the context of population migration, which is - within Europe - further intensified by free movement between the Member States of the European Union, the issue of recognition of foreign adoption by same- sex couples appears to be highly topical. Especially in light of the continuing liberalisation of the regulation of parenthood of same-sex couples in the countries of Western Europe and Scandinavia on the one hand, and the conservative approach of the countries of Eastern Europe on the other. This situation has resulted in several major decisions of national and international courts, which will be discussed in detail in the thesis, as well as legislative proposals at national, European and international level. The thesis aims to provide an overview of the regulation of the recognition of foreign adoption of same-sex couples and related case law and legislative proposals, primarily from the perspective of the Czech Republic. The text is divided into four chapters, an introduction and a conclusion. First, I define adoption as a form of legal parenthood, provide an overview of...

Nováková, Klára ; Teichmanová, Klaudia (advisor) ; Kozubík, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on men's attitudes towards homosexuality as a correlating element in constructing a social approach to homosexuality. I focused my research on men with Czech citizenship aged 35 to 50 years. The research was applied qualitative data analysis using grounded theory modeled by A. L. Strauss and J. Corbin. In order to increase the theoretical sensitivity, which is essential for understanding the topic, I used the specialized literature focusing on gender and methodology. It was presented in the first, theoretical part. In the second part there were mentioned methodological concepts, on which the third research part is based, where the data obtained from semi-structured interview were analyzed. Research has shown that the attitudes of respondents are inconsistent; however, a significant influence on their semblance has the participation of men in masculine groups.

Polyamory: the new trend or return to the roots?
Hrstková, Michaela ; Kotík, Michal (advisor) ; Kozubík, Jan (referee)
The main theme of this bachelor thesis is the construction of intimacy in polyamorous relationships. Polyamory is a a practise of beeing allowed to have close emotional and sexual relationship with multiple people while all of the people concerned knows about it and agree with it. The transformation of the traditional nuclear family during last few decades encouraged a rise of polyamory and other non strictly monogamous relationships. I conducted a qualitative research consisted of parcipant observation in czech polyamory community and eight semi- structured interview with polyamorous people. These methods helped me to observe how intimacy is shared among more than two people and how they solve problems in relationship. In polyamory people emphasize even more on the values as openness, sharing, these values are also typical for strong intimate relationship as well as for the Giddens' idea of pure relationship. I also compare polyamorous to monogamous relationships.
