Mapping history of music therapy in Bohemia using interview approach

This diploma work is focusing primary on capturing and approximation of historical development of the music therapy in the Czech Republic through the use of interview with several personalities taking active part in the music therapy opening or development. In the theoretical part, reader is introduced to definition of the music therapy. There are various definitions from worldwide institutions and figures. In the next chapter the work deals with various styles of the music therapy. The third chapter covers the important events and persons, which were closely connected with music therapy from prehistory till the present time. The practical part of this work forms transcriptions of mentioned interviews, concretely with these persons: Josef Krček. representative of anthroposophy music therapy, Jitka Vodňanská, Viktor Zappner and Jana Procházková as pioneers in clinical approach to music therapy, Zdeněk Šimanovský with his systemic conception, and Vlastimil Marek, perceiving by specialists as the most important person of esoteric music therapy. By the end of the work, based on these transcriptions, an actual summary comes with different kinds and views on the music therapy in the Czech Republic.
