It refers to the possibilities of blood donation and to its components and subsequent processing in constituents of blood and production of transfusion preparations. This thesis focuses deeply on the production of thrombocyte/platelet transfusion products. It describes the possibilities of issuing these products to clinical workplaces and also the use of transfusion and taking care of the patients during the application of the transfusion preparations. The part of work is the analysis of possible after-transfusion reactions and sequential procedure dealing with the complications.
