Experimental and computational investigation of elastic characteristics of porous materials

Ceramic material "Eucor" contained the pores. The pore size on the order of milimeters is typical for this material. The paper deals with problems of evaluating elastic constants at this type of material. The experiments showed that evaluating the electricity modulus from strains measured by electric resistance strain gauges is not credible because the measured strain values are influenced by strain concentrations in the pore vicinity.

Experimental investigation of mechanical charakteristics of nontradicional technical materials

The paper deals with determining "stress-strain" curves under tensional, compressional and torsional load for large strain of rubbers used in production of tyres. The same curves under tensional load are investigated for materials used in Rapid Prototyping equipments, namely in "Laser Sintering" and "Fused Deposition Modelling" technologic processes. Residual stress state is investigated at teh nateural basalt and at the high temperature treated basalt of the mark Eucor, after casting process of plates.

Analysis of behaviour of selected high - speed track type

The paper shows possible modeling method of selected type of track. Selected type of track is a ski for skiing along grass. The paper describes creation of computational model of the ski. The computational model consists of a duct and many track links. The paper presents results of first computational simulations and their analyses. The computation simulation offers fundamental concept of behaviour of the ski.
