Development And Verification Of A New Method For Measuring The Stiffness And Damping Properties Of Joints In Parallel Kinematic Structures

In this dissertation is presented the development of a new measurement method for the stiffness and damping characteristics of a joint in a parallel kinematic machine tool. The main contribution of this method is specially for applications, that demand accurate information about stiffness and damping parameters from assembled parts of machines tool. Methods for compensation of deformations in machines tool, that are carried out by control, belong to these applications. Another contribution of this work is the technical implementation of the proposed principle of the new method. At this point the focus of the work was devoted to signal processing, that differs in a certain degree from other types of signal processing methods, that are used in other dynamic measurements, e.g. modal analysis. One of the main requirements was the possibility to consider the nonlinear behavior of the measured structure. In another chapter the modified signal processing method was used for measuring a joint in a test rig. The results were compared with results from other measurement methods. On account of this comparison the statement was made that the new method can be used for measuring the stiffness and damping parameters of machine parts. Finally the new method was applied to measure the properties of a joint, which was built in a machine tool. Moreover, the problems, that appeared during the measurement, were also described.

RS-232 Serial Data Transmitter

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create an RS-232 transmitter in the Xilinx ISE WebPACK development system with the possibility to set the details of transmitted data by input signals. It is necessary to explore demands of the designed transmitter in terms of consumption of the structural components in the PLD network. The function test of the project was done by the help of development kit.

This thesis deals with USB bus specification, its advantages, disadvantages, and different possibilities of use. To the readers it offers a closer look on the processes invisible to user during startup, operation and management of the device, their meaning, structure and timing. The thesis discusses the possibility of connecting multiple computers to USB devices via USB switch and is dedicated to the selection of suitable components for such a switch, development, hardware construction, programming the control circuits and utility. The thesis also considers the possibility of sharing storage media via USB switch.

Comparison and analysis of the SIMO and MIMO methodology in the experimental modal analysis

Tato práce srovnává dvě dnes běžné varianty experimentální modální analýzy, a sice SIMO a MIMO analýzu. Pro provedení MIMO analýzy bylo nutné navrhnout nový postup měření, který je v práci podrobně popsán. Jak SIMO tak MIMO analýza byly provedeny za stejných podmínek, aby je bylo možno objektivně srovnat. Výsledky ukazují, že volba takzvaných referenčních bodů je pro věrohodnost výsledků zcela zásadní. Při dodržení všech zásad měření a vhodné volbě parametrů poskytuje MIMO analýza lepší výsledky.
