Long-term professional foster care as a chance for early traumatised children

The bachelor thesis deals with professional long-term foster care as a form of care of early traumatised children on the background of current system of foster care in Czech Republic. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes Czech system of care about children in need, the second chapter introduces in more detail foster care in Czech Republic and principles of professional foster care, the third chapter applies itself to early traumatised children, to their needs and opportunities which professional foster care could bring them. The practical part is focused on introduction of one concrete form of professional long-term foster care, how it works in one German region. In the first part is introduced German organisation, which is engaged in the support of professional foster families. The second part considers research among professional German foster parents, the research is based on personal experience of foster parents with this form of care and its different aspects.

Diploma thesis titled "The Tyden magazine between 1994-2012 in the context of the media tabloidisation" deals with the topic of mass media tabloidisation. This phenomenon is further studied on the example of The Tyden magazine. Thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on infotainment and tabloidisation in the context of mass communication and mass media. This part also deals with the topic of Czech market of periodical press. The subject of the practical part is The Tyden magazine and its changes connected to the topic of tabloidisation. The first part is devoted to the presentation of the selected title. The second part deals with the research, which is focused on the characters of tabloidisation and the trend of gradual tabloidisation.
Specific needs of children in foster family as a consequence of early trauma

This thesis deals with a topic of specific needs of early traumatised children living in a foster family. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes foster care as a part of Czech system of care about children in need. The second chapter deals with the psychological development in early childhood. The third chapter applies itself to early trauma and its causes. The fourth chapter is focused on consequences of early trauma and resulting specific needs of children. The fifth chapter is devoted to the possibilities of working with early traumatised children in a foster family. The following practical part consists of three segments. The first one has a form of research among foster parents. It is focused on specific needs of children and also a need of support, which should be given to foster families. The second section presents the research survey among non-profit organisations that deal with direct support for foster families. It examines their experience with a topic of early trauma. The third section presents a unique project of one Czech organisation, which is focused on the transition of child from institutional care to family environment.
