Health Insurance in USA

The aim of the thesis is to find and to discuss the main current problems of the American health insurance system and their causes through the event analysis, problem tree and the SWOT analysis. In the theoretical part, there are defined different types of health insurance and their sources, there is also performed a classification of different models of the health insurance and its functions. In the analytical part, there are selected the main historical events concerning the topic that lead into the problem analysis of the current system. The idenified problems are further discussed in the analysis of current problems. The outcomes of the analysis are summarized in the SWOT analysis. The main problems concern very expensive health services caused by high technological inovation rate (responsiveness), the financial difficulties with gaining corresponding health insurance, the orientation in the very complicated system and in the vaste amount of information resouces, and the presence of the significant risk groups that do not have equitable access to the health care and that are thus in a worse health state.
System - Stigmatization of Psychically Disordered

Diploma thesis "System - Stigmatization of Psychically Disordered" aims the analysis of the system - stigmatization after the year 1989. As a part of the research tasks some fields related to the psychiatrical treatment/care reform in Czech Republic are discussed. Among the most important fields of disputation lie the general prerequisites of the system - stigmatization sequencing the present system of the treatment/care, the principles of the persisting psychiatrical treatment/care system that emphasizes psychiatrical institutions such as mental homes or the specific interests and acts of the people involved in compared to declared sponsions that were published in the strategical documents. As a solution by the working the problem out the people involved analysis, analysis of the legal frame and relevant strategical documents analysis. The koncept System - stigmatization is, for the purpose of that thesis, understood as an origin and a development of the stigmatization - mechanism that originated in the system of psychiatrical treatment/care and psychiatric institutions. Mental health policy analysis in the Czech Republic in the context of European Union

Diploma thesis "Mental health policy analysis in the Czech Republic in the context of European Union" deals with the present state of health care of psychiatric patients in the Czech Republic. Main theories for the thesis are quality of life, human rights, health determinants and support of mental health. Analysis of mental health policy shows that health care for psychiatric patients is mainly concetrated in psychiatric institutions. Advanced trends and recommendations described in the political documents issued by the European Union urge to transformation of service framework stressing the importance of health care diferentiation and its move towards community care. At the end, health care framework for the Czech Republic fulfilling such requests and correspondig with the model of balanced care is described. Such a model is based on progressive health care movement from psychiatric institutions towards community care with regard on financial, personal and capacity resources of the state and region. The Czech Republic belongs to the states with average resource capacity thus such steps would lead to balancing institutional and community care and follows the line established by developed countries leading to larger and more diferentiated health care framework.
The competition in plural system of public health insurance of Czech Republic

Diploma thesis "The competition in plural system of public health insurance of Czech Republic" deals with historical development of plural system in Czech Republic and its functions in the present time. The first part of this thesis deal with theoretical view of market mechanisms, medical systems, systems of health care financing, transformation of society and health valuation (assessment). Further part describes the development of plural system in Czech Republic from 1992 to 2009. The changes in this time period are mostly focused on morphological analysis of fundamental laws for public health insurance in Czech Republic. The second part of this thesis creates model of plural system by using instruments of real competition. The end of this thesis evaluates present contribution of plural system for society including its next possible development and possibilities of legislative changes and organizational changes going to this possible future development.
