John Adams and Thomas Jefferson: Two Perceptions of the Character of the USA

Abstract Bachelor thesis "John Adams a Thomas Jefferson: Two Perceptions of the Character of the USA" deals with two American presidents who stood by the foundation of United States of the America. In terms of time and topic definition, the thesis is devoted to the Founding Era of the USA. The goal of this work was to compare political persons of the second and the third American president. Working method was base on the comparison both persons according to the three criteria - political thoughts on the form and the character of the government, political performance during their presidency and the personal characteristics of both presidents. In the thesis are used as the primary sources so the secondary ones. This bachelor thesis is divided into four parts. Firs chapter deals with the political biographies of both statesmen and their relationship as well. Second and third chapter analyze the Adams' and Jefferson's texts in which they expressed their political ideas about the character of the government in early USA. Last part of the work is devoted to the comparison of their political conceptions and also to the comparison of their political acts during their presidency. U.S. and the Czechoslovak Crisis in 1938: Policy of Appeasement?

This Master thesis, U.S. and the Czechoslovak Crisis in 1938: Policy of Appeasement?, examines the policy of the United States in 1938 during the dispute between Czechoslovakia and Nazi Germany over the Sudeten German issue. This paper is a case study and it analyzes a diplomatic correspondence and public statements of key representatives of U.S. foreign policy in the period March to October 1938. The goal of the paper is to evaluate the U.S. policy towards the Czechoslovak crisis and to consider whether or not the U.S. policy could be labeled as a policy of appeasement. There are four chapters. The first chapter recapitulates U.S. foreign policy before 1938, briefly describes issues of appeasement and describes the Czechoslovak-U.S. relations before 1938. The second chapter deals with U.S. policy during the so-called May crisis. The third chapter focuses on U.S. policy during the Munich Conference. The fourth chapter analyzes attitudes and actions of U.S. representatives in the time of the Munich Conference.

Influence of foreign direct investments on Czech retail market

This diploma thesis is dealing with the Czech retail market and an influence of foreign direct investment on it. The thesis is divided into five parts. First two chapters are focused on the theoretical definition of the foreign direct investment, trade as well and the tendencies in the international business in the 21st century. Third and fourth chapters are dealing with the inflow of the foreign direct investment into Czech Republic or with the status of the trade in the Czech economy. Fifth part is devoted to the Czech retail market -- its performance and evolution since 1989. In this chapter is also exercised comparison of the foreign and domestic enterprises in their productivity and performance.

The trade strategy analysis of retailing firm Globus on the Czech market

Bachelor thesis deals with the trade strategy of retailing company Globus on the Czech market. The thesis is divided into three chapters. First chapter is devoted to the presentation of the company Globus and its position on the Czech market. Second one deals with company's marketing strategy. Third chapter is practical part of the work and the chapter presents the results of the market research in two Globus stores. The main goal of the work is to describe specific approach of the company Globus to the Czech market. The conclusion of the work is that firm Globus thanks its trade policy has a great chance to success in the strong competition on the Czech market.
