Research and Development of Innovative Uranium Nuclear Fuel Matrices
Hrbáček, Tomáš ; Šťastný, Ondřej (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of nuclear fuel used for nuclear reactors. It is dedicated to research of current trends in nuclear pellets. The qualitative parameters of nuclear fuels are described here, predominanly thermal conductivity and density of nuclear fuel. A special chaper of this thesis is devoted to the simulation and fuel additives during burnout. The final part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to a specific design of material for a test research pellet.
Ventilation of an office building
Hrbáček, Tomáš ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor Thesis titled “Ventilation of an office building“ is the design of the ventilation of an office building. The work is divided into free main parts: theoretical part, computational part and project part. The theoretical part introduces the topic of air conditioning units and their chambers. The computational part deals with the design of two air conditioning units on the 3rd floor of the office building operating a meeting room, a corridor and toilets with washing facilities. The last, the project part, describes project documentation of ventilation in depth.
Optimization of air conditioning in the office building
Hrbáček, Tomáš ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis titled "Optimization of air conditioning in the office building" deals with the issue of heat load. Its understanding and correct determination is the primary step towards the correct design of air conditioning systems. The work is divided into three parts. The first part of the work, the theoretical part, serves to bring closer the theory of heat gains and heat load. Specifically, it is the external part of the thermal load, its division, description and calculation procedure of the individual parts. The second part of the work, the calculation part, focuses on the application of theoretical knowledge to a specific building. Specifically, on the proposal of two alternative solutions for the current state of the air-conditioning equipment in the 3rd floor of the administrative building serving the meeting ro-om. These are more economical variants, which, compared to the original design, carry with them certain limitations in the form of reduced comfort of use. The object for which alternative proposals were prepared is an administrative building in the town of Náchod in the Hradec Králové region. It is a four-story building with a flat single-skin roof. Inside the building, there are mainly office, communication and hygiene spaces. The third part of the thesis deals with the application and partial automation of the thermal load calculation procedure from the theoretical part and examines the influence of the glazing area of facades on the solar gains of various buildings. It describes the method of calculation, the data obtained and finally summarizes and evaluates the results. Excel software and the VBA programming language, whose development environment (IDE) is integrated in Excel, were used for the calculations.

Methods of hedging currency risks with application to small and medium enterprise
Hrbáček, Tomáš ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Blaheta, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis is primary focused on methods and possibilities of hedging currency risks, whereas in the second part this risks are specificated to currency risks of small and medium enterprises. The thesis follows theoretical separation of foreign exchange exposures to transaction exposure and economic exposure. The translation exposure is not mentioned, because is irrelevant in sector of small and medium enterprises. The thesis contains the outline of possible hedging methods of transaction exposure (external, internal methods) and economic exposure. Analysed subjects in second part are two czech companies from sector of SME, which were established in 1995 and are exporting to foreign countries. The first company deals with firewood, produces and completes clapboard's roof, the second produces blankets, pillows and fillings for sofas. The analysis targets the historical process of competitiveness in background of czech crown's appreciation, exactly to economic exposure. The companies are not hedging their transaction exposures. Finally, the thesis evaluates actual situation of foreign currency exposure and suggests possible solutions, e.g. establishing a new office in abroad.
