Evaluation of KAP-meters in Rtg Devices

The main targets of this thesis have been to get familiarized with theoretical and practical aspects of device, used for measurement of the radiation burden of patients in the health service and to verify suitability of them for the assessment of diagnostic referential levels (quantity of the exposure of a patient) within the radiographic examination process as well. For this purpose, several types of x-ray units, equipped with surface kerma indicators, have been used, they are installed at the Trauma Hospital of Brno, at the Faculty Hospital Brno and at the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute in Brno.

Aortocoronary bypass surgery with or without heartlung machine in high risk patients.

This dissertation entitled "Aortocoronary bypass surgery with or without heart-lung machine in high risk patients" is a summary of the findings of two published works by the author: Off-pump Versus On-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery in High-Risk Patients: PRAGUE-6 Trial at 30 Days and 1 Year, published in the journal Biomedical Papers in 2015 and Aspirin is insufficient in inhibition of platelet aggregation and thromboxane formation early after coronary artery bypass surgery, published in Journal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis in 2009. The PRAGUE-6 study, which focused exclusively on patients with very high operative risk according to the EuroSCORE scoring system, confirmed the hypothesis of a higher incidence of combined endpoints up to the 30th day among patients operated with extracorporeal circulation, particularly acute myocardial infarctions. This significant difference was not maintained after one year after the surgery, mainly due to the increase in mortality between the 30th day and the 1st year in patients operated off-pump. The dissertation further discusses similar papers published on the topic in recent years, including the two very last meta- analyzes. Euthanasia. Arguments for and against its Legal Acceptance

The thesis "Euthanasia. Arguments for and against legalising euthanasia" is dedicated to the subject of voluntary euthanasia and assisted suicide. The aim of the thesis is to provide an overview of the most common opinions and assertions, which are used in arguing for legalising euthanasia in the Czech Republic. The introduction briefly introduces the terminology, explains the basic concepts and tries to debunk some inaccuracies that are connected with this theme. In the following text, examples from several countries that have developed approaches to legalize euthanasia in the past are presented, and differences in the laws are explained. This section is linked with the theological, philosophical and bioethical views on euthanasia. The final and crucial part of the thesis presents the various arguments which lead supporters and opponents of legalization in various debates, in the media and in the scientific literature. Marketing in Development

The diploma thesis named Marketing in Development focuses on the compilation of a marketing plan for a development project. This plan is based on the set of fundamental rules relating to development and the particular phases of a development process. A marketing survey is another important starting point and issue. The plan itself is aimed at developing a fictitious office project in Prague. It also contains some practical suggestions on how to apply some marketing tools in practice and, moreover, it points out their importance. The overall marketing plan might therefore be used as guidelines for making similar marketing plans for the development of office projects.
