This thesis consists of two parts. The first, practical part is a translation of the first eight chapters of the book Nación Vacuna by the contemporary Argentinian writer Fernanda García Lao (2020). The second part of the thesis offers background information about the author, stylistic classification of the book and its role in both, the source and target cultural context. Another important part of this work is the translation analysis of the original, the description of the origin of the translation method, as well as the identification of the problems associated with the translation along with their solutions. Last but not least, the thesis should also offer the reader a brief glimpse into the process of the birth of translated literature.
