Wireless Nurse Care Calling
Bubník, Karel ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This work describes the design, construction a performance of such a complete wireless pager suitable for health care centers, rest homes, home application, for example for calling an attendant. This appliance is designed to be easy to attendance. A wireless transceiver is simplified and is attended only by one button. A wireless receiver also doesn't require a complicated manipulation. The aim is to create pager, which will be an useful assistant thanks to its price and simple construction.
Utilization of 3D ultrasonography for nuchal translucency measurment
Širůčková, Anna ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is review of the newest methods of diagnose congenital defects of fetus in first trimester mainly Down´s syndrome. Nuchal translucency is primary marker for assessment the risk of aneuploidy. The aim of this project is to clarify the most modern techniques, three dimensional ultrasound, using for measuring of nuchal translucency. Fetal Medicine Foundation set straight guidelines for measuring, practice and audits, which are recommended. In this thesis, the focus is also on possible ways of audit by quantitative and qualitative evaluation. In the last part, I designed the study for evaluation of presented techniques. The aim is to qualify the benefits of tool Sono NT and Volume NT.
Optical disc detection in ophthalmologic images
Melša, Ondřej ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This work is target on the detection of center and border of optical disk in AF (autofluorescent) and IR (infrared) images. The image are primarily modified at brightness area. The center of optical disk are sought after by algorithms, which offers program Matlab. As well are search border of optical disk. Results are comparison with engaged results and then is calculated effectivity of created algorithm.
Image Registration - Application in ophthalmology and ultrasonography
Harabiš, Vratislav ; Matula,, Petr (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Image registration is widely used in clinical practice. However image registration and its~evaluation is still challenging especially with regards to new possibilities of various modalities. One of these areas is contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging. The time-dependent image contrast, low signal-to-noise ratio and specific speckle pattern make preprocessing and image registration difficult. In this thesis a method for registration of images in ultrasound contrast-enhanced sequences is proposed. The method is based on automatic fragmentation into image subsequences in which the images with similar characteristics are registered. The new evaluation method based on comparison of perfusion model is proposed. Registration and evaluation method was tested on a flow phantom and real patient data and compared with a standard methods proposed i literature. The second part of this thesis contains examples of application of image registration in~ophthalmology and proposition for its improvement. In this area the image registration methods are widely used, especially landmark based image registration method. In this thesis methods for landmark detection and its correspondence estimation are proposed.
Detection of the nerve fibres in ophthalmologic images
Urbánek, Dušan ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with detection of the retinal nerve fiber layer in gray level retinal images taken by fundus camera. The first part describes a physiology of human eye and glaucoma disease. Then, the use of wavelet transform and algorithm of texture analysis applied for texture analysis. Next chapters describe theory of texture analysis named „Gray level run length matrices“ and its application for detection of the nerve fiber layer. Applications of this method are described for three types of retinal tissues and for whole image. The last chapter describes gray levels around optic disc and results obtained from parameters from GLRL matrices.
Face detection in image
Koudela, Ondřej ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
This work is basic overview over methods of face detection in picture and it's components. The main part of the work is an example of algorithm developed in MATLAB programming language for face detection based on skin color segmentation in different color spaces and their implementation in real time. The basic algorithm is discussed in several steps with shown results for each of color spaces and in the end of the work is evaluation of used methods. This work also includes a simulation of processing real-time detection in MATLAB Simulink.
Flow Measurement Using Dilution Methods
Pokorný, Pavel ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the construction of a program in LabVIEW to measure pH with the Vernier sensing probe connected through the interface LabPro and to be able to inset the measured data with a physical model of a dilution curve to get information about the model. It further describes the necessary requirements of the product in which the measurement of the dilution curve would be possible, the principle of constructing it and its usage with the above mentioned program to construct a laboratory task.
Face detection in image
Pospíšil, Lukáš ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The main puprose of this paper is to introduce some of algorithms used in face detection in images. This paper focuses on face detection by using a skin-color based segmentation that is computed in three color spectrums (RGB,YCbCr and HSV). This paper also includes software for face detection in pictures and videos.
Methods for flow estimation using laser speckle contrast imaging
Jahůdková, Michaela ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with introduction to optical method called laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI). The thesis contains a description of the basic theory that is related to the method, the LSCI own principle, the characteristics of this technique, its applications and also a description of various variants of LSCI. The second part of the thesis deals with the modification of acquisition software to be suitable for measurement of multi-exposure LSCI (MESI), verification of this method by experiment and conclusions of evaluated of data.
Ultrasound image processing
Pokorný, Vojtěch ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
Ultrasound is an important imaging modality used in medicine. This bachelor’s thesis includes theory regarding physical characteristics of ultrasonic waves, a brief overview of the historical development of ultrasound as an imaging modality in medicine, biophysics of spreading and biological effects of ultrasound waves on tissues and types of display final images. Next part of the thesis describes diagnostic ultrasound device, including the most common used types of ultrasound probes. This part is followed by description of animal Vevo 2100 ultrasound system from which the acquired data are processed further. Processing includes the loading, display and for DICOM files saving too. At various file formats DICOM standard comparison is done. The last chapter deals with the filtration of characteristic noise for ultrasound images called speckle.
