A Comparative Gender Analysis of Textbooks for German Teaching in the 1th and 2th Class of High School.

The theme of this thesis had arisen from the need to reflect on the present stereotype perception of male and female roles within the society. This negative phenomenon can be noticed in family education as well as in schools. The main objective of the thesis was to compare and analyze two textbooks of German for secondary schools considering the aforementioned gender point of view and specify their drawbacks. A questionnaire was carried out and subsequently analysis made of the results, which confirmed that male and female students understand their roles in a similar way as the stereotype makes them to, therefore incorrectly from the gender view point.
